City Petcare is an established pet care organization based in California. It is one of the leading pet care centers in the United States dedicated solely to caring for pets and making sure that they are healthy and happy. If you ask any city officials about petcare they will tell you that it is necessary to take care of our pets because they are the ones that protect us and they are innocent victims too. The student learning about how to properly take care of a pet was taught about the importance of vaccinations and heart worm prevention. The city of San Diego worked with Pets with Attitude to promote these services through community events and a partnership called Pets in Schools. This partnership made it possible for pets to be offered in many elementary schools throughout the county.

The pet care program started in the Fall of 2021 and hundreds of pet owners from all around the county applied to join the program. San Diego State University did a research review on the effectiveness of the program and found that it was very effective. The research review also showed that pet owners were saving money on care by using PSAs versus traditional pet insurance. Furthermore, the pet owners that did join the pet care program were more likely to have a pet visit their vet and to bring that pet to the S.D.U. as opposed to being seen in the emergency room.
