Desatasco Urgente is a new restaurant from Barcelona that offers a variety of food items from the Andalusian traditional dishes to Spanish culinary specialties. Besides having an extensive range of food items to choose from, the restaurant offers a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The decor of the restaurant is especially designed to create an atmosphere of warmth and conviviality. Several locals took time out to write Desatasco Urgente's review, which can be found at the Spanish website.
Desatasco urgente menu includes three types of fish: bass tuna tartare, bream roe and mackerel, as well as a selection of meat dishes such as jowls, sturgeon, prawns, shrimp, and squid. Some of the entrees even have a seafood twist, such as deep-fried calamari, crab meat with lemon juice, crab cake with potato salad and fried fish. Another dish on the menu is a vegetarian dish called "Ceviche de Pollo". It is made of white fish and consists of sea scented rice with leeks, garlic and parsley. Other dishes available are sea side salmon, vegetable stuffed shrimp, cubed veal, skirt steak and vegetable breast meat. The restaurant is open Sunday to Friday for lunch and dinner and has also opened a second kitchen in the area.
Restaurant's unique selling point is its Concha de Merlou, which translates to "The Roasted Corn on the Cob". This is a wonderful choice for a warm, congee filled soup. Concha de Merlou is made with corn kernels and is best served with some lightly steamed vegetables, preferably onions and green peppers. Concha de Merlou is also served on a corn tortilla for those extra hungry individuals.
Another delightful treat on offer is the La Bandera de Las Tortugas, which translates to the spicy baked corn bread sandwich. The sandwich is made from fresh corn tortilla and is served on a large bed of soft Spanish bread. This is a delicious treat for lunch or dinner.
The Limpieza de Las Tortugas is another wonderful stop on the tour of Desatasco. The Limpieza offers authentic Mexican cuisine along with a variety of traditional Spanish recipes. Authentic Mexican dishes include the warm, fresh, aromatic salsa that is made using lime juice, fresh cilantro, and a touch of heat. The Limpieza is served on a bed of corn or flour tortillas and can be accompanied by fresh fruit juices and a variety of Mexican desserts.
Other delicious offerings include the signature cocktails of Desatasco, including the Mexican favourite, the TexMex margarita, and the original sangria, the original sparkling wine and the chilled fruit punch drink. It is possible to book a table at one of the many excellent Desatasco Hotels for lunch or dinner as well as ordering an authentic lunch or dinner menu for the hotel. All of these wonderful dining experiences are part of the fun and excitement that is enjoyed at each of the popular Desatasco Irasanta Restaurant locations.
