What is a Tompkins Bible, and Why Would You Use It?

There was a kerfuffle over the past week concerning a redditor who was reportedly using a TPB mirror to search for the grave of Christ on Reddit. The whole thing got me thinking about how we could use the same strategy to find the grave of Christ on our own front lawns, and to see what happened. What I discovered was that the Reddit mirror site has some pretty interesting content related to this whole "depressed Christians" issue. Here is my personal experience using a Google search on that mirror site.

About a week ago, I was having a conversation with an acquaintance who is a pastor in a small church. He told me about how he was going through a particularly difficult time in his ministry, and that he needed to find alternative ways to connect with God. He mentioned a website that he believed saved him, as well as others like him. He mentioned the name of TPB mirror reddit. I asked him if he had ever checked it out and he said I should.

So, I went ahead and downloaded the free application from the website. I installed it and loaded it onto my laptop. I opened up the program and was greeted by a whiteboard with wiring diagrams. I selected the "wired" tab and was greeted with a larger version of the "wireless" section of the "letal system" that the Reddit mirror was using as the background for their biblical search. It also displayed a larger version of the skull and crossbones graphic that is used on the actual site.

Next I clicked on the "search" tab, and was once again greeted with a whiteboard with wiring diagrams and the same gruesome image that was displayed on the main Reddit page. So I decided to try and see how the aforementioned gentleman had used this tool. So I clicked the search button and waited for the red "SOLVED" message to appear. After a few minutes of searching, I found what I was looking for, a dictionary that had the word "graffiti" in it.

I printed it out and placed it in my Bible. About an hour later, I was ready to read again. I went back to the "interactive whiteboard" and noticed that the words were in a much smaller font. I had made a mistake and that was the first time I had seen those two symbols. Apparently, I had gotten them mixed up, or someone had just accidentally placed them there by accident.

I am so glad that I downloaded Tompkins' software. Now I can rest easy knowing that there is a way to tell if the red man may be a false prophet. I'm also glad that I have discovered that Bill Johnson's "The Bible: Your Bible" series has inspired me to start reading again.
