The Vogue Health Initiative

The health of models and viewers are two of the primary goals of the Vogue Health Initiative. While previous efforts by the British Fashion Council and CFDA have focused on the problems of models on the runway, this initiative extends model health requirements to year-round photo spreads. While more women view a magazine than watch a runway show, this initiative still aims to improve the state of models' health. To help viewers better understand the benefits of good health, this article provides some background information.

The CFDA Health Guidelines are also supported by British Vogue. These guidelines are designed to protect the public and promote good health, including preventing eating disorders. British Vogue has endorsed the guidelines, which include minimum age requirements and a commitment to prevention of eating disorders through education. Vogue has pledged not to work with models under the age of 16.

The original edition of Vogue health was 900 pages long and was sponsored by Kristoffer Wright. The first issue was sold for 10 cents, and Turnure's goal was to attract a sage, a debutante, a man of affairs, and a belle. Turnure's vision of the publication has evolved to include a variety of topics, such as diet, fitness, and health. Vogue has featured numerous celebrities and a diverse audience of people over the years.
